3. Song Read

Understand your lyrics and cast in one place, then choose the story direction and seeds for your world.

Here the assistant reads your lyrics and cast references and suggests themes, tone, and palette ideas. You need to pick one story direction and at least one environment seed (the starting points for where the video could live visually).

Until Song read is approved with those choices filled in, Environment prompt won’t open — the screen will tell you what’s missing.

What this step is for

A shared read on the song plus locked choices so the next steps can describe one coherent world, not five conflicting ones.

Before you start

  • Inputs should be locked with the cast you want tied to this read.
  • Audio analysis should be in good shape so timing stays consistent through the project.

If Inputs used From narrative — estimate in Song read as the timeline basis, you must set a runtime here (see below) before Song read can approve.

What to do

  1. Open Song read in Project Plan.
  2. Press Start / Generate when it’s ready and wait for the assistant’s reply.
  3. Read the story directions and environment options — choose one direction and one or more environments the UI asks for.
  4. If Step 1 chose length from narrative, pick your narrative first, then press Estimate from narrative (or set seconds in unlocked Inputs). Song read stays blocked until a runtime exists.
  5. Edit the text if the vibe’s wrong; run again if you need a fresh pass.
  6. Lock / Approve when you’re happy — that saves your picks for the next steps.

When to run it again

  • You changed Inputs or the mix.
  • Lyrics changed a lot (for example after fixing transcription).
  • You swapped cast references.
