Project Plan
Project Plan is the guided path inside the app from your finished song to shots, looks, and renders you can drop onto the Timeline. In the top navigation it carries the Project Plan label—open it to see the numbered list on the left that walks you through the work.
Start from Projects whenever you’re unsure which upload every step belongs to—that choice appears in the studio header.
You don’t need to understand how anything works under the hood. Work from top to bottom; later steps light up when you’ve finished (and locked) the ones above.
Checklists: Each step page ends with interactive ticks — they save on the song / project you’ve picked in the studio header. Change projects and you’ll see that project’s checklist.
Why order matters
The app builds each stage on the last one — timing, story, world, shot list, then pictures and motion. If you skip ahead, you’ll see steps greyed out or a short message telling you what’s missing. That’s normal.
Lock (or approve) a step when you’re happy with it. Unlock only if you really need to change something earlier — then you may need to revisit later steps so everything still matches.
Work in one browser tab per project when you can, so your progress stays tidy.
Tip: On each screen, open How this works for a quick summary, or Full guide — this step to jump to the matching page below.
Your journey in one glance
| Phase | You’re mainly… |
|---|---|
| Sound & timing | Putting in the mix, then locking beats and lyrics so the whole video stays on the same clock. |
| Story & world | Letting the app read the song, then shaping where the video lives visually and what it’s about. |
| Structure | Breaking the song into acts and naming locations so shots know where they belong. |
| Shots & look | Getting a shot list on the timeline, writing direction per shot, then picking one or two filming styles (primary + optional secondary). |
| Pictures & motion | Generating batches of stills and clips, then Gallery to pick favourites shot by shot. |
| Finish | Optional accessibility audio, then Timeline to preview and Export (MP4; optional ZIP with .en.srt). |

Resources (not numbered steps)
These sit under Resources in the Project Plan sidebar — they don’t block or unlock the 14 steps above.
- Shot library — Per-shot still and clip history, project reference plates, and promoting archived takes to hero (what Timeline and video use). Different from Gallery, which is the director’s shot grid (step 13).
